I can’t believe my college roommate is getting married in a few short months! I am headed to our college town this weekend for her wedding shower and could really use a new dress. I contemplated wearing last weekend’s Easter look, but there will be way too many photos taken. 😉 My mom is my date for the shower so we are planning our pre-party shopping trip to pick up a few essentials.
I was looking online for outfit inspo and found these two great dresses from Saks Off 5th – both on sale, of course! Both dresses are at least 60% off of full-retail (that means at least $70 saved). One is flowy and casual and the other is a little more conservative. I’ll have to reach out to see what some of my other girlfriends are wearing. I always find it easier to shop when I have an idea of the look that I want. It allows me to focus on bargain hunting!

I get asked all the time why I don’t just buy online and really, it’s so simple. Why would you shop online when you can go to the outlets and 1) save even more with in-store coupons/promos and 2) try the dress on. You wouldn’t buy a car without test driving it, right? Then why would you buy a dress without seeing how long it makes your legs look, or being able to gauge the quality?
No matter which dress I find, I am going to need some great accessories. My roommate was always the accessory queen, so I feel like I have to step it up! I think a set of stackable bracelets would look awesome with either one of the dress options. I could take the first, flowy dress in a boho direction with cool accessories or make the more conservative option a little trendier. Alex and Ani always has cute stackable jewelry. Maybe I’ll stop in there. I could also pick up a little special something for the bride-to-be!
Okay guys, I have a secret for you…I also buy all of my shower gifts from Tanger. You can get the brand name cookware that the bride wants and pick up a little something for your home too. Seriously, it is one of my favorite life hacks because I have saved SO MUCH over the years. I’m hoping to pick up this Le Creuset casserole dish for my roommate. She always made this great 7 layer dip for tailgates and I am going to need her to continue to make it for every party possible… only in larger quantities, hence the brand new, much larger casserole dish. Everyone wins!

Well, I certainly can’t wait to head “back to school” and celebrate my roomie! Do you have any shower shopping tips? Make sure to share them with me on social media using #TangerSaver.
