I love getting to spend some quality time with the fam. I’m not sure if I’ve shared this already, but my sister is pregnant! She’s finally starting to show and I can’t believe I am about to be an aunt! I also can’t believe I am in charge of throwing her a baby shower, and it’s coming up way too fast.
I’m hosting the get-together at my apartment and have a lot of planning to do. I’m new to throwing a baby shower, so I’ve consulted Google for answers. I got this creative DIY idea online and just had to do something similar!

I found these mason jars from Kirkland’s, and can’t wait to get to crafting – I’m thinking I can either use them like the ones from Pinterest, or use them to serve lemonade! Either one will be super cute and memorable.
Since I will be serving appetizers and desserts, I found this cake pan and plan to find something similar at Tanger’s Pottery Barn Outlet. Everything obviously has to be blue since she’s having a boy! Anyways, I want to set up all the food like this layout below. This is beyond adorable!

And last but certainly not least, I have to get a cute outfit for the event and am thinking this off-the-shoulder white dress from Charlotte Russe Outlet is the answer. Frankly, I want to make sure I’m purchasing something I can re-wear, and this is exactly that. A summer dress to wear for multiple occasions; work (with a blazer), church (with a sweater) and out on the town. Are you surprised I went to Tanger Outlets and found EVERYTHING I needed?!
My sister knows I’m on a budget and isn’t expecting anything over the top, but I want to WOW her and throw an amazing shower. Luckily, I can make sure she’s WOWed while sticking to my budget – best of both worlds (Thanks, Tanger). I had a great time planning this for my sister and hope some of these ideas will help you if you’re trying to lower the cost of hosting a shower. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the deals at Tanger, make sure you do so! Trust me, you won’t regret it.
