I received some exciting news this week! One of my oldest and best friends is expecting her first child. The ever-dedicated career woman, she’s one of the last of my of close friends to join the circle of motherhood.
That can only mean one very important thing. Her shower has to be, without a doubt, the best grand finale baby shower of all time. Not to mention that, as the resident artist in our group of friends, every shower she’s ever attached her name to has been worthy of a feature in Southern Living.
No pressure, right?
She and her husband have decided not to find out the gender of the baby. More power to ya girl because I could never handle that suspense. HOWEVER, I just so happen to have the perfect inspiration for a gender neutral shower theme already in mind. The girlfriends and I are throwing her an all white baby shower trimmed with hints of gold for added glam.
What’s not to love about this gorgeous setting?
It’s so feminine and chic. Perfect for our Mommy-to-Be!
Party Planning 101 – every great event starts with the invitation. After all, first impressions set the tone for any party. These invites mix just the right statements of elegance and whimsical baby shower.
Check that off the list!
Chances are you’ve noticed the Little White Dress (LWD) movement. It has been spotted everywhere from beaches to runways, and everyone is crazy for it. There’s a LWD for every woman and occasion, and it just so happens to be the perfect required dress for the baby shower. Not to mention, as mommies how often do we get to wear white without fear of imminent dry cleaning services? Time to go shopping!
I can see all the gorgeous group photos now.
Next on the list…venue selection, guest list and shower games.
I’ll share more details with you in future posts as the planning continues but, for now, I’m on the hunt for my LWD and am headed to Tanger!
While I’m there, I’ll definitely be picking up a Gift Card so that our Mommy of Honor can style the future little one with the latest and greatest from Carter’s, Gymboree (my personal fav), Gap and OshKosh. Or just treat herself to a new bump-friendly wardrobe at Motherhood Maternity. Ahhh..that almost makes me miss my maternity clothes. Almost!
What are some of your favorite gender neutral shower themes and gifts? Share them with me on Facebook and Instagram using #TangerMom and #TangerStyle. I’ll be sharing and regramming my favorites with our followers!
