Love is in the air – It’s wedding season! I can almost hear the chapel bells but before the big day, we all know that there are plenty of celebrations to be had. One of my college besties is getting married at the end of the summer, so we’ve been planning a bachelorette party for weeks – thank goodness it’s here! You all know I can’t help but share my life to-do’s so this week… 3 Steps to Throwing a Top Notch Bachelorette. Knowing I am one of the hosts for this soiree, my mom treated me to a Tanger Outlets gift card (mother dearest to the rescue) to help with some of my party shopping prep.
Step 1: Dress to Impress
My favorite color for any bridal event is always pink and fortunately this bride-to-be opted for something different than everyone wearing black. It’s so feminine and flirty! I found this number at the Banana Republic Factory Store and can already tell I will be wearing it to many events in the future. But for this bachelorette party, it’s making its debut! The ruffles give it the perfect amount of frill without overdoing it. And it’s a great length for when I’m running around making sure everything is ready for the guests beforehand! I also found this dainty necklace from The Limited Outlet and clutch from Express Factory Outlet. Talk about tying an outfit together, props to you, Tanger.
Step 2: Cheers!
What’s a good party without tasty sips? To ring in our bride-to-be, I found this delicious Citrus Sangria recipe. It will be light and fruity for the summer weather and helloo, could a drink be any more beautiful? I have the recipe covered, but for the glasses and other cocktail accessories, I’m headed to the Williams-Sonoma Outlet. Maybe I’ll pick up a fun platter (or tray) to serve them on. Have you seen any great ones out there that I should keep an eye out for?
Step 3: “Say Cheese”
My last step is all about some photobooth fun. This set up is definitely for an A-lister, but I’m hoping with my DIY skills I can recreate something similar. All wedding events must be captured in a fun and exciting way, so this is a must. Have your friends help you out and gather up the backdrop needs – ribbon, paper flowers, etc. Then set it up right before the party! You could even throw in my polaroid camera idea from my Vineyard Style blog for some instant photo fun.
With all my plans in place, I can’t wait to get this party started. Now I just need to get shopping!
