Savers, let’s get down to business. I’m bringing my fashion advice (along with my savings expertise, of course) to the office and showing you how to find high fashion looks for less at Tanger. Who doesn’t want to look like a million bucks without spending it?
I work in a pretty trendy environment, so even our casual Friday looks have to be on point. I’m not talkin’ jeans and a t-shirt. I’ve struggled a little with the trendy casual look for a while, so it’s time I revert to the streets (of Milan) for some inspiration. I follow all of the fashion week happenings around the world each year and love watching all the street style fashionistas. They’re just flawless! The look below was featured in a Harper’s Bazaar article and let me tell you, it was love at first sight. BUT, I immediately got bummed because I knew I couldn’t afford such a snazzy outfit… That is until I remembered all of the super fashionable things I had seen at Tanger lately, so I made this look my next project.
Here’s my game plan. I think I can make it happen for under $350 compared to the thousands of dollars I’m sure this head-to-toe look costs from full-retail stores. I’ve never been so excited for casual Friday!

The token piece here is the white jeans. I love the ones pictured, but I’m not positive my boss would go for the “super distressed” look, so I’m going to go with a safer option. Gap Factory Store is currently running a 50% sale on their Legging Skimmer style which have a similar fit but are a little more refined. First item (for less than expected) – check!
Ps. Here’s an extra 10% coupon from Tanger. You’re welcome!
Next up is this ruffled blouse. I’m in love with the denim and ruffles look. It’s such a great way to add an edge to a pretty feminine style. This top from Tommy Hilfiger was marked at only $59.99 and then I got an additional 40% OFF at the register as part of their New Arrivals sale. The look is coming together perfectly.
Next up are these adorable tassel pumps from Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. They were only $58.98 and will be the talk of the office… and the town! #swoon. Side note: I was a little hesitant to mix these black heels with an otherwise all-white look, but it’s totally working.
And last but not least, this purse…. It was 64% OFF, also from Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH. Since I’m putting together a look for the office, I decided to go with a larger tote as opposed to the small shoulder bag in the picture. This one was still in line with the look, but way more realistic in price and functionality.
Ah, so satisfying that I didn’t have to splurge on these items and they look just as fabulous as miss fashionistas outfit from Milan’s Fashion Week. Who knows, maybe everyone will be snapping my picture on the streets/in the office!
If the outfit itself didn’t sell you on outlet shopping vs. full-retail, just take a look at this savings chart. The numbers say it all! High fashion at a low price – I’m loving it!

My runway may look more like a stroll to the breakroom than the catwalk, but hey – I’ll take it when I look like this and feel even better knowing I didn’t spend my entire paycheck.
