Thanksgiving and Moonlight Madness are over! I hoped you enjoyed it as much as I did (and that time-off, of course.) 🙂
Now I didn’t get my saver mentality from just anywhere so Black Friday was a huge topic of conversation around our table this Turkey Day. And while you may have spent some time talking about the recent election, my family was having a little bit of a different debate.
How do we like to shop more – in-store or online? The conversation got heated as Mom and I geared up to hit Tanger after dinner and my dad and sister didn’t understand why we wouldn’t wait for today to shop from the comfort of our computer.
I have nothing against online shopping, but came up with a pretty compelling argument to support my mom’s and my craze that I just had to share!
So here’s my top 4 reasons why I still brick-and-mortar instead of click-and-mortar.
1. Outlet deals are unbeatable. You know I am ALL about budgeting so outlet shopping truly is my go to. And you just can’t get deals on top of deals like you can at Tanger Outlets. There’s even a directory on-site where deals are listed!
2. Try before you buy. How many times have you ordered something that ends up too small, too tight or too short? For me, that’s uh, at least five times. Now, I’ll admit, shopping after Thanksgiving dinner isn’t the smartest plan, but at least I know it will fit at my worst.
3. Leave with items in hand – immediately. No waiting around twiddling your thumbs or looking out the window for UPS. Think of it this way – you just left the store with an amazing top you can’t wait to show off. (And if you’re anything like me, you need it for tomorrow night. Why pay the extra shipping?)
4. The experience. My best outfit inspirations all come from ONE source – the actual store. I love physically seeing and touching the product – sometimes the texture is all off when you buy online. Store managers do such a great job at styling the mannequins taking the guesswork out of it! And shopping with friends and family is a great way to spend time together.
Okay, I’m dying to know – are you an in-store or online shopper? Tweet @TangerOutlets with #TangerSaver to let me know!
