The oh so loved, off-the-shoulder trend. It’s made its way across basically every fashion spectrum and into many of our own closets and wardrobes.
Lately I’ve been feeling like my go-to, summery, white off-the-shoulder look has become somewhat of a snooze. It’s one of those pieces that I wear SO OFTEN, I need ways to mix it up and elevate my style.
Here’s my latest rendition!
Add a Hint of Fringe
Saks OFF Fifth/Tory Burch | Fringe Crossbody | $449.99
This bag adds all the flair to my look, and gives me all the heart eyes. Easy enough to throw over my shoulder without weighing my arm down. It’s a serious, “where did you get that bag?!” piece. Not only has it become an easy way to elevate my basics, but also a staple component to all of my year-round boho looks. If you don’t already have a fringed find, I would add one to your list for sure!
Toss On a Dangle
Vince Camuto | Gold Layered Chain Necklace | $68.00
To add a little something to the neckline of my off-the-shoulder dress, this double layered gold necklace does just the trick. A lot of people are hesitant to layer a necklace over this style — The trick is to either go above or below the neckline with either a short dainty necklace or a long piece like this one.
Level Up With a Platform
Nine West Outlet | White Platform Espadrille | $49.99
One of my favorite shoes, so of course I brought it into this outfit. These platforms definitely level up my wardrobe (literally). These were somewhat polarizing when I first got them earlier this spring. Everyone either loved them or didn’t care for them. Let’s just say those negative nancy’s all own a pair for themselves now. They’re super popular and so comfortable! If possible, I would get a few neutral colors. A white and a black pair will go the distance this summer.
How would you elevate this dress or any other off-the-shoulder look? There are so many ways and you can never go wrong! I’d love to hear everyone’s ideas!
