School’s out, and that means no more late night cram sessions, term papers or 2am pizza (sadly). Even though you could’ve used an extra weekend or two with your friends, we know you are ready to embrace summer with some amazing travel plans. Traveling also comes with the addition of packing, which can be overwhelming to some. We don’t necessarily consider ourselves pro-packers, however, do have some tips and tricks up our sleeves to help make packing your Tanger finds more bearable.
Find Your Travel Buddy
No, we’re not talking about your best friend, mom, or significant other keeping you company on the long flight. We don’t even mean that stranger who you’re stuck sitting next to that just passed out on your shoulder. It’s the one item that is jam-packed with your most prided possessions and doesn’t even complain about it: your suitcase. We are certainly aware (and frustrated) by those budget airlines that make it expensive to bring anything when you travel, but we always try to carry on versus check bags – especially when we get stuck booking a flight with layovers.
The key to bringing a carry-on is finding a suitcase that is durable, lightweight and full of hidden pockets. Our go-to luggage spots are are SAMSONITE FACTORY STORE, T.J.MAXX and SAKS OFF FIFTH for finding that perfect travel buddy. Click through for extra savings!
Roll, Roll, Roll!
And we don’t mean down the terminal with all your luggage. Instead, we want you to roll your clothes so you don’t have to drag as many bags with you through the airport. Rolling your clothes allows you to fit so much more in your suitcase compared to folding. For those that have never tried this hack, the trick is to fold your clothes in half and then roll as tightly as you possibly can. If you aren’t sweating by the time you’re done packing, you didn’t roll tight enough.
AM to PM Outfits
Do you ever have those days when you change outfits four different times? Well guess what – you have neither the time nor space for that while traveling, especially when you only bring a carry-on. It’s important to lay out all your outfits beforehand so you can see what you have. Being able to transition an outfit is key. All it takes is wearing that sundress you purchased from J.CREW FACTORY and pairing it with NINE WEST OUTLET sandals during the day and spicing it up at night with some heels from SAKS OFF FIFTH. By shopping at Tanger Outlets you’ll be able to save more and enjoy a more extravagant vacation while still looking amazing.
Organization and preparation leads to less clutter, and that means you’ll be able to pack more with limited space. Don’t let packing overwhelm you, give yourself time to spend with your travel buddy (aka your suitcase) so that you know what you’re working with.
Oh and please don’t forget our final travel tip: baggage always expands on the way home…
Enjoy your summer vacation and don’t forget to tag @TangerOutlets in all your adventures and use #StudentLife. We can’t wait to see where you are headed!
Bon Voyage!
